The Canadian Federation of Students and National Graduate Caucus have endorsed worldwide Open Access Week.

Part of the effort to promote Open Access Week the Know Your Copyrights bookmark was created and contained a brief summary of various copyright symbols that students are likely to come across in their studies. The bookmark includes information on Copyright, Copyleft, Creative Commons, General Public Licences, Permissive Licences and Public Domain works.
